President Ruto is Challenging High Court's Powers to Determine Petitions Following the Ouster of Gachagua

President William Ruto has demanded the High Court to hit upon the petitions of DP Gachagua Impeachment says that the court lacks Jurisdiction to listen and determine the case.

Mr. Gachagua and other petitioners demanding the impeachment process stating lacking enough public participation to substain allegations against him.

Petitioners David Mathenge, Peter Kamotho, Grace Mwangi, Clement Muriuki and Edwin Kariuki filed a court petition to prevent Kithure Kindiki from taking office.

Ruto's lawyer, Adrian Kamotho said the petitions violate provisions of Article 143(2) of the 2010 Constitution. However, Mr. Ruto want the cases to be derailed stating that they against the Law and abuse of court processes.
